We're not sure why Chevy Camaro aficionados and detractors alike have such a hard time spelling the car's name correctly. Nobody seems to have issues getting "Mustang" or "Challenger" correct, but Chevy's pony car has remained an eternal typographic bugaboo for many, especially those convinced that a pulley swap and a set of two-chamber Flowmasters will put their beloved V-8/RWD automobile deep into the nines.
Celebrating the final year of the Camaro's fifth generation, the Commemorative Edition is sure to give those same mouth-breathers fits when it comes time to unload crusty, rusty, juddering examples on Craigslist. "CUMMERTRIVE EDITIN CAMERO! RAN WHEN CRASHED. NO LOWBALLZ!!!1!"
In the meantime, Chevrolet would like to point out that it has moved more than 400,000 Camaros since it revived the nameplate in 2009, that it's on track to be America's best-selling performance car for five consecutive years (unless Ford manages to move a zillion new Mustangs before the end of the year), and that 2015 is the final model year before the next car, built on the excellent Alpha platform that resides beneath the Cadillac ATS, takes wing.
Available on both coupes and convertibles, the 2015 Camaro Commemorative Special Edition package includes its own set of 20-inch wheels, a fancy stripe, a rear spoiler cribbed from the beefcake ZL1, and the all-important distinctive fender emblems denoting the car's specialness. Available on 2LT-level V-6 Camaros and 2SS V-8 cars, the CESE trim also includes the RS package.

Paint options? Black with Cyber Gray stripe, Silver Ice Metallic with a Cyber Gray stripe, Summit White/silver stripe, Ashen Gray Metallic/silver stripe, and Red Hot with a black stripe. Additionally, the V-8 models get a body-color hood insert. Inside, Chevy's offering an Adrenaline Red interior as an exclusive option on the CESE. The treatment features enough red and black to make the most ardent anarcho-syndicalist feel at home in the proletariat's chosen speed weapon.
Naturally, Chevy saw fit to launch the car at the SEMA show, an event first held in 1967—the Camaro's inaugural model year. If only the Las Vegas Convention Center featured enough lawn space for an all-Camero donut competition. We're certain more than a few Clark County Craigslisters would show up for that.
